PORTABLE PRIDE CENTER

Portable Pride Center.png

UP Rainbow Pride is in the beginning stages of creating a Portable Pride Center to help serve the isolated communities of the Upper Peninsula.

Our goal is to create a safe space for rural LGBTQ+ families to connect with resources and each other, creating more community connection, support, and safety. We will bring together existing resources in each community and supplement them with resources we bring with the Portable Pride Center on ‘Pride Center Days’.

Help Make it Happen!

Thanks to the generous support of Corktown Health and the State LGBTQ+ Commission, we already have a trailer, a generator, a bigger tent, and some money left for additional supplies!

There are some permanent supplies we can’t quite afford. Also, we anticipate each Pride Center Day will cost about $600 for gas and usable supplies. Our goal is 7 Pride Center Days in 2026!
