UP Rainbow Pride is in the early stages of launching a Portable Pride Center to help serve the isolated communities across the Upper Peninsula.

​

Our mission is to bring our Portable Pride Center across the UP for 'Pride Center Days', inviting rural 2SLGBTQIA+ folks to connect with resources and each other to help create a stronger sense of community, support, and safety. Existing resources in each region are invited to join us for our Pride Center Days to help their local community know who they can turn to.

Help Make it Happen!

Thanks to the generous support of Corktown Health, the Michigan LGBTQ+ Commission, and Equality Michigan, we've been able to get our Portable Pride Center started with a trailer, a generator, a sound system, and other supplies that will be used at each Pride Center Day!

However, there are still some permanent supplies on our wishlist we're hoping to afford. We also anticipate each Pride Center Day to cost about $600 for gas and one-time use supplies. Help us meet our goal of 7 Pride Center Days in 2027!
